Bill has been a good neighbour and friend for over 20 years. To our neighbourhood he brought a small town feel, always having time for a coffee, driveway visit, to lend a hand, or simply just to wave. We shared many stories about trucking, farming, fixing, gardening and days gone by. He was a hard worker who knew also how to slow down. On many occasions, be it on the front porch or in a backyard, he'd help us do just that. We'd sit. We'd share. We'd soak in life. He loved his family dearly and spoke of his kids and grandkids often, sharing photos and memories in our conversations. His kindness shone through in the simple things like his genuine concern for how our son is doing, bringing over a pail of raspberries or apples, or or in the smile you'd receive if returned them in a pie. Bill would often say "well, I should probably get moseying.." which usually meant we'd share a few more stories, most of his starting with that same phrase. We're sad to see you've mosied on to your final resting place, but some day we'll sit on a bench again dear friend. May perpetual light shine upon you.
