Don and Linda, I am truly sorry of Laryssa's passing, my heart aches for you. Being her classmate at school and friend at Marwayne Alliance Church, I always knew she would excel at whatever she put her mind too. Her Intelligence had always surpassed everyone in the class so it does not surprise me that she had received a doctorates degree. I am so glad she travelled the world and achieved her dreams while knowing that having to leave this world, that she knew that she was loved. Maurice Blair

We all loved Laryssa. She did everything well and made it fun. She taught at least one if my kids in Sunday School and inspired them to want to memorize Bible verses. She babysat for us occasionally and I knew my kids were in safe hands. The kids loved it when Laryssa was coming over. She played piano for the ladies quartet and I appreciated her feedback and suggestions. Of course, she was a talented musician and played beautifully at all times. When we visited the Whittakers the kids gravitated to Laryssa like a moth to a light. She always had something fun up her sleeve for them to do. She was such a good sport and such a blessing for us all. I wasn't surprised to hear she had gone into music research. She was gifted and a gift to the world. She will be missed.
