Thank you for sharing the live stream of Rita's service. I always remembered her from when my family would visit our relatives in Saskatchewan when I was little and that she was an interesting lady! I'm glad I was able to come to her 100th birthday. Our hearts go out to you all.

I have had the pleasure of spending time with Rita since 2023. I got to know Rita from family events in John and Brenda’s garage. She has become a dear friend in the past two years. She talked a lot about her family, her childhood memories and her faith. There is a lot that can happen in 100 years. She loved eating at Arby’s. We would have lunch dates and there was no where else she’d rather eat. Nothing fancy…roast beef on a bun. I will miss this amazing woman. She was humble and wanted nothing. I extend my deepest condolences to the family. May Rita find peace in the arms of our Saviour.

Grandma use to drive us to and from church with her when I was very young. I remember one time she was taking us home and she accidentally stopped on the train tracks and there was a parked train to her left that had its light on and she thought it was coming for us and she yelled “TRAIN” at the top of her lungs and my brother and I thought it was the funniest thing in the world cause she floored it and dodged 3 vehicles ahead of us. She was always there for her family, she was the toughest woman I ever met and I’m grateful to have had such an incredible woman in my life. Love you grandma
