BIOGRAPHY
Gary Russell Dumont passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the age of 52 years.
Gary Russell Dumont is survived by: son Gary Dumont and his wife Anna of Lloydminster, grandson Gary Larson Dumont, his mother Ivy Horness and Paul Coueslan of Lloydminster, by his ex-wife Rita Galea of Msida Malta, his brothers Ted Dumont of Winnipeg, Larry Dumont of Kaslow, BC, Garth Dumont of Lloydminster, his sister Laverna and her husband Ron Handel, as well as 8 nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Gary Dumont was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, November 3, 2005 with Pastor Anne Laird officiating.
A eulogy was given by Jim Noyce.
A solo "Precious Memories" was sung by Marlene Risling.
The hymn sung was "How Great Thou Art" accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson.
Honourary Pallbearers were all his family and friends in attendance.
Urn Bearer was his son Gary Gabriel Dumont.
Interment followed in the Lloydminster Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
Gary Dumont was born in Lashburn, Saskatchewan. He started to work in the Lloydminster Oil field at the age of 15 years. In a few years the overseas, offshore Drilling attracted his working mind.
Gary loved offshore drilling and worked his way up to fishing tool supervisor on offshore drilling on the North Sea. He worked world wide - North and South America, the U.K. Libya and Cairo, Egypt. He lived in Scotland working for tri-state as a fishing tool consultant. He continued on to Baker Oil Tools based out of Houston, Texas and worked in Holland, Norway, Aberdeen, Scotland, China and England.
Gary was a caring person. He always thought of his families in Canada and Malta. Gary has many friends worldwide and while most cannot attend his memorial today, they all know he is gone and will miss him.
Garys famous words were: You got to be born ready.
Gary from Mother:
I will miss your homecomings, your packing and unpacking and your phone calls from all over the world. This journey you are taking now you dont have to pack for.

Thanks so much to the doctors, Dr. Ray Rogers and Dr. Chan. All the hospital staff and the nurses on the 3rd floor for taking care of Gary.
Thank you for the flowers, cards, donations, visits to the house and also to those people who visited Gary before his passing. All the e-mails, phone calls from Canada and overseas. The ladies that served the lunch and the McCaws for all their help and kindness.
In lieu of thank -you cards a donation will be made to the Lloydminster Hospital in memory of Gary Dumont.
