Mildred Rookes passed away peacefully at the age of 96 years at St. Walburg Lakeland Lodge, St. Walburg, SK.

Mildred will be lovingly remembered by: her daughters, Marilyn (Dennis) Magnuson and Shirley (Greg) MacKenzie; her grandchildren, Michael (Adele) MacKenzie, Dean (Theresa) MacKenzie, Lee (Camille) MacKenzie, Jenna (Brendon) Oesch and Alisha Magnuson; and her great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Tyler, Grace, Jeremy, George, Abigail and David. She is also survived by her siblings, Bob (Dorothy) Burgess, Donny (Carolina) Burgess, Maynard Burgess, Dora Greening and Mary Burgess, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mildred was predeceased by the love of her life, Ben Rookes; parents, Bert and Cora Burgess; parents-in-law, Les and Julia Rookes; brothers, Raymond Burgess, Lawrence Burgess and George Burgess; sister, Gladys Bryce; and extended family members, Eddie and Chris Rookes, Marion and Bill Bonsan, Bert Greening, Shirley Burgess and Gervin Bryce.

The Funeral Service will be held at Mervin Community Center, Mervin, SK on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM.

Donations in memory of Mildred may be made to St. Walburg Health Complex - Lakeland Lodge Nursing Home.
