Johanna Marie Whalen passed away at Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, SK on December 26, 2025 at the age of 68 years.

Johanna is survived by: her daughter, April (A.J.) Benoit and her children, Jason Tobin, Danica Tobin, Amy Benoit, Amber Benoit, Logan Benoit, Alicia Benoit and Leeland Benoit; great-grandchild, Jackson Black; son, David (Keshia Jesso) Whalen and his children, Nova Whalen, Alex Whalen, Sheldon and Kevin; sisters, Josephine Young, Mary Mootrey, Anna Gibbins, Lisa Simon and Margret Young; brothers, Johnny Jesso, Dougie Jesso, Alex Jesso and Randell Jesso; and numerous extended family and friends who loved her.

Johanna is predeceased by: her husband, David Whalen; parents, Randel and Patsy Jesso; son, Kevin Whalen; sister, Peggy Jesso.

A Private Funeral Service will be held in memory of Johanna at a later date in Newfoundland.
