B I O G R A P H Y


LOYIE: Lynora (Darlene) of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan was taken from us suddenly Friday, December 3, 2004 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 49.


Lynora is survived by her four sons Jason and his wife Raylene; Rodney; Tyler; and Jonathan; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; her partner and companion Jack Bootsman; brother Bruce Loyie; sister Linda and her husband Ron Schillabeer; and sister Violet and her husband Rob Groenen.


Lynora was predeceased by her father Leo 1976, mother Victoria 2001, sister Lillian 1959, brother Dale 1981 and brother Joseph 1947.


The funeral for Lynora was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. with Father Adam Lech officiating.


The hymns sung were "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art," "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Ave Marie" accompanied by Chris Kurc and Marlene Risling on the organ. Bagpiper Bill Cornfoot played "Amazing Grace" as a recessional.


The honorary pallbearers were all of Lynora's family and friends.


The active pallbearers were: Joe Carter, Gary Carter, Jason Loyie, Nelson Carter, Brian Carter, Henry Elle, Mark Adams and Darrel Carter.


Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.


McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

The Loyie and Bootsman families would like to express their gratitude to their family and friends for their love, kindness, and support in the recent illness and death of their mother, sister, auntie, grandmother and friend Lynora.


A special thank you to cousin Rosie Carter for the eulogy; to pallbearers Joe Carter, Gary Carter, Dennis Carter, Nelson Carter, Brian Carter, Henry Elle, Mark Adams and Darrel Carter; and to Gail Hohne for the luncheon. A greatful thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at the Lloydminster Hospital and Saskatoon University Hospital.


A personal thank you from Jason, Rodney, Tyler and Jonathan.


To Jack ... thank you for caring for and loving our mom and for making these last few years memorable and special ones for her. We will always be there for you.


The last thank you, is a very special one saved for the individuals who night and day made sure everything from hospital care, to her final arrangements were perfect, and stayed strong for everyone. Thank you Auntie Violet and Uncle Rob for all your love and hard work ... Now it's our turn to be strong for you. We love you.


Words are not adequate enough in describing the enormous outpouring of support, love and service we have been given in this time of trial.
