James Bruce Bowtell passed away at Red Deer Regional Hospital, Red Deer, AB on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the age of 72 years.

James is survived by: his loving wife of 52 years, Karen Bowtell; children, Erinn (Mirco) Tiller and Rhonda Bowtell (Donnie Crook); grandchildren, Eric, Connor and Drew; grand-dog, Easton; mother-in-law, Ella (Bauer) Eyben; siblings, Harry Bowtell, Dawn (Bill) Ermantrout, Terrial (James) Baier, John (Lila) Bowtell and Danna Bowtell; brothers-in-law, Les Bauer and Gary Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James is predeceased by: his parents, Bruce and Marion Bowtell; sister, Sandra Peterson; sister-in-law, Katherine Bowtell; nephew, Joel Bowtell; great-niece, Kristina Vidler; and father-in-law, Reinhold 'Ron' Bauer.

The Funeral Service for James will be conducted from First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, AB on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under James's obituary.
