Mary Elizabeth "Chupno" Littlewolfe Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Littlewolfe, “Chupno” passed away on September 24, 2025 at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK at the age of 91 years old.

Chupno was the eldest of nine brothers and eight sisters in her family. Mom was a talented and creative woman who completed commissions that required her to bead, embroider, make pow wow outfits, sew quilts and blankets. Never known to rely on others, she was also a mechanic and an excellent hunter. She loved jigsaw puzzles, playing BINGO, card games, and as one of her grandsons attests she was a

card-playing champion.

Mom has left us a beautiful legacy. She taught us about generosity, hard work and not to do things mâmâsîs/low quality work. Chupno was known to be a fearless mentor, a humorous, strong and fearlessly independent woman. She loved telling stories and shared her knowledge and teachings with those she raised as her own. She loved picking stones and rocks and had a keen eye for what was a good rock.

Family called her Queen Elizabeth, and true to her title, she held court wherever she was.

While I mourn mom’s passing, I take comfort knowing her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren and chapans. I will be forever grateful for the unconditional love she gave me. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. Losing her leaves an ache in my heart, but also an inspiration to live up to her beautiful example. I will forever cherish the time spent together. Our excursions to paint the town red. (Written by Bonny)

My dearest momma, my travel buddy, my fearless mentor and my biggest idol. Go rest high, my lovely, you certainly earned those beautiful angel wings, may you be greeted by your precious loved ones at the pearly gates of the heavens. Until we meet again, our Queen Elizabeth. Wear your crown with pride and honour. With love and utmost respect. (Written by Ruth)
