B I O G R A P H Y


LABOUCANE: Chestina "Tiny" Alberta Laboucane passed away in the Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the age of 85 years.


Tiny is survived by: her loving husband of 66 years, Michael; five children: Detleena Stolz and her children: Michael and his children Hagen and Koal; Kevin (Kathy); Michelle (Sheldon) Manship and their children Payton and Robert; Brian Laboucane and his wife Brenda and their children: Kimberley (B.J.) Carey and their children Mitchell and Lynden; Carmen (Mick); Jamie; Emery Laboucane and his children: Ryan and Curtis; Bonnie Start and her children: Darcy; Jaret; Megan (Daniel) Shingoose and their children Sasha and Teddy; Glen Laboucane and his children Scott and Douglas; daughter-in-law Noreen Laboucane; one sister Gloria Schwehr and one brother Bill Cearns.


Tiny was predeceased by one son Edward; her parents William and Minnie; three sisters - Priscilla, Frances and Minnie; three brothers: Leonard, Bob and Boyd, and one great grandson Kevin Manship.


The funeral service for Tiny was conducted from the Spruce Lake Hall, Spruce Lake, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. with Flo Campbell offiiciating.


A eulogy was given by: Kim Carey, Megan Start and Michelle Manship.


Honorary pallbearers were: Carmen Laboucane, Mick Nolin, Gloria Schwehr, Scott Yackel and Noreen Laboucane and Family and all of Tiny's friends.


Active pallbearers were: Michael Stolz, Kevin Stolz, Jaret Start, Daniel Shingoose, Jamie Laboucane, B.J. Carey, Douglas Starr and Darcy Start.


Interment followed in the Butte St. Pierre Cemetery.

Mike Laboucane and family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the many family and friends who supported them at the loss of their loved one, Chestina (Tiny) Laboucane. We would like to thank the Doctors and staff of the Turtle River Health Care Complex for the care and kindness they showed during her stay with them.


Donations in memory of Tiny may be made to the Foundation of Twin Rivers for the needs of long term care at Turtle River Health Complex.
