Gary Taylor Obituary

Beloved husband and father, Gary Gordon Taylor, passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 67, in Lloydminster, AB.

Gary was born and raised on the family farm near Rossburn, MB. His interest in fast cars and motorcycles started early. He was always either fixing a vehicle or cruising in one. He met the love of his life, Sherry, in Hamiota, MB where he had his first job as a mechanic. Gary's career led them to Lloydminster, AB where he earned his mechanic’s license while working at RJR Noyes GMC. After a few years, they settled in nearby Marshall, SK where they found a community to raise their three children, Ryan, Chad and Jenna. Once the kids grew up, they moved back to Lloydminster and Gary went to work at Herles Truck & Auto.

Gary was heavily involved in Boy Scouts during his youth and volunteered while his kids participated in Beavers, Cubs and Guides. He cherished camping and golfing at Silver Lake in the summers with his family and enjoyed curling in winter. He also enjoyed travelling to warmer climates and the scenic east coast.

Gary will be missed by: his loving wife of 44 years, Sherry; his children Ryan (Melissa) Taylor, Chad (Ashley) Taylor and Jenna (Travis) Holland; grandchildren, Eric, Carla, Adam, Keegan and Luke; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary is survived by: his brothers, Delmar (Leona) Taylor and Morgan (Shawna) Taylor.

Gary is predeceased by: his parents, Earle and Irene Taylor.

The Funeral Service for Gary will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, AB on October 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Community members are welcome to attend.

Donations in memory of Gary may be made to donor’s charity of choice.
