William Blair Davidson passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on August 19, 2025 at the age of 60 years. Blair was born on March 14th, 1965 in St. Walburg, SK to his loving parents, Bill and Maurguerite Davidson. Blair spent his childhood surrounded by community, sports and family. From a young age, he loved hockey and baseball and his talent and passion for sports carried through his entire life.

After graduating, Blair left home to pursue both hockey and his education. Though his path brought him back to St. Walburg, it was there that he met the love of his life, Maureen Fraess. They married in 1986 and soon after began their family. Becoming a father was Blair’s greatest joy and truest calling. He was patient, kind, and an inspiring leader, devoting much of his time to coaching his children in hockey. The bonds he built with players and families extended far beyond the rink, lasting for years to come.

In 2007, Blair began working at Husky Energy as a Power Engineer. For 14 years, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his work, earning respect for his leadership, mentorship, and passion for teaching. After retiring, his heart and time belonged to his grandchildren. Known lovingly as the “best grandpa in the world,” Blair found deep happiness in watching them grow, play, and laugh.

He will be remembered, sadly missed, and forever loved by his wife of 39 years Maureen, Son, Aaron (Kendall) Davidson and their children Whitley, Camila & Brooks; daughter, Ashley (Andrew Krieger) Davidson and their son, Finley. Sister; Betty (Neil) Gervais; Brothers-In-Law, Daryl (Richard Reid) Fraess and Trevor (Brenda) Fraess; sister-in-law, Carolyn Fraess; Nieces and nephews; Nancy (Justin) Abbott and their daughter Jordyn; Jesse Fraess, Mathias (Priscilla Gallagher) Fraess, Breanna (Jonah) Kopp, Josef Fraess, and Nathaniel Fraess. 

Blair is predeceased by: his parents, Bill and Marguerite Davidson; son, Douglas Davidson; brother, Allan Davidson; parents-in-law, Edmund and Irene Fraess; and brother-in-law, Mark Fraess.

The Funeral Service for Blair will be conducted from Kitscoty Community Hall, Kitscoty, AB on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Please RSVP your intent to attend to Ashley at ashleydavidson18@gmail.com
