Connie Born passed away surrounded by family at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydmister, SK on December 20, 2025 at the age of 82 years.
Connie was born in Lloydminster, the seventh child of Ruben and Alice, and grew up on the family farm north of the city. She and Jim married in 1960 and raised their children in Lloydminster. When Jim passed, they'd been married a few days shy of 64 years. Connie enjoyed a long career as a bookkeeper for Skinner Motors, Nelson Lumber, Harold Goodwin and after Harold retired, on her own. She was involved in the community in various aspects, supporting the golf course as their secretary/treasurer for several years, Neighbourhood Watch, the Lori Craven Memorial Tournament and was known for her generosity.
Connie is survived by: her children, Susan (Gary) Blythe, Sonja (Louis) Harder, Shandra Carlson, Sharmaine (Tim) Merta, and Jim (Brenda) Born; 18 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sisters, Bev Servold, Chris Benson and Nina Bottomley; sisters-in-law, Kay Born and Gladys Jack; brothers-in-law, Pete (Betty), Tom, Dennis (Fern), Ken (Pearl) and Earl (Brenda) Born.
Connie was predeceased by: her husband, James "Jim" Born; parents, Ruben and Alice Benson; brothers, Frank, Stan and little Jim; sister, June Rau; parents-in-law, George and Elizabeth Born; sisters-in-law, Betty Hodgins and Doris Drysdale; brothers-in-law, Ron Walker, John Bottomley, Bill, Abe, John, Jake, Don and Melvin Born.
The Funeral Service for Connie will be conducted from First Baptist Church, Lloydminster, SK on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Connie's obituary.
