ADAMS: William Lawrence “Laurie” Adams formerly of McLaughlin, AB passed way in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, AB on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at the age of 84 years.

Laurie is survived by two sons: Ken and his wife Sherry Adams of Lloydminster, Bruce and his wife Lorna Adams of McLaughlin, one daughter Shelley and her husband Dan Perkins of Lloydminster, one daughter-in-law Carol and her husband Ed Sydora of Edmonton; twelve grandchildren: Stephanie and her husband Rob Yule of Edmonton, Keri Adams of Vancouver, Pam Adams and Guy Holbeche of Lloydminster, Michelle and her husband Randy Gilchrist of McLaughlin, Neville Adams and his fiancee` Larissa Spendiff of Red Deer, Jason and his wife Jodi Adams of Penhold, Carlye and her husband Mike Hanke of McLaughlin, Myrna Lee and her husband Darrin Richter of Lloydminster, Chad and his wife Terrylynn Perkins of Lloydminster, Jesse Johnson of Ponoka, Michelle Perkins and her finance` Mark Powelson of Lethbridge, Kristy Johnson of Ponoka and eight great grandchildren. Laurie also leaves one brother: Allen Adams of Tofield and his sister Jean Fleury of Cranbrook.

Laurie was predeceased by his wife Patricia in 1995, one daughter Sheila in 1960 and eldest son Richard in 1976. His father passed away in 1960, his mother in 1983, his brother Archie in 1996, his sister-in-law Grace Adams in 2003 and brother-in-law Don Fleury in 2004.

The funeral service for Laurie was conducted from the McLaughlin Hall, Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Gregg Peterson officiating with interment following in the McLaughlin Cemetery.

A eulogy was given by Stephanie Adams-Yule. Honorary pallbearers were all in attendance.

McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to thank all our friends, neighbors and relatives for the many kindnesses in the recent loss of our Father and Grandpa. Thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sayeed and the staff at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre. Also a special thanks to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., for helping so efficiently through this very hard time.
